We believe that every lumberyard is unique in its own way. Whether you do business with
the big national chains or do business with a small family owned and operated business
like McGee Lumber Company — each business has its own strengths and weaknesses.
The big lumber dealers have done an outstanding job at developing
low cost products sold in high volume.
However, there are tradeoffs for being the cheapest and this
includes the lumber and wood-products industry. "Low cost" must
translate into either "low quality" or "bad service" or both.
At McGee
Lumber we can't bring in rail cars of lumber and we don't want
to. High volume lumber sales means that we cannot give the
attention to detail that has given McGee Lumber Company the
reputation for quality wood products that precedes us.
That doesn't mean that we cannot
handle the big jobs. McGee Lumber Company maintains our high
quality standards regardless of whether you are purchasing lumber
and wood products for a retail mall, to panel your den, or to just
replace a single piece of moulding.
We are committed to find and
deliver the highest quality lumber and wood products that we can
find and/or make.
Our Redwood is the best in the
marketplace — bar none! Our Douglas Fir, our Southern Yellow Pine, and our treated
lumber all the best quality that can be found anywhere. No one can provide a better
product because no one makes a better product.
Mother Nature puts beauty marks in each piece of wood. These minor defects add character
to the wood. But other second rate wood products are not even allowed at McGee Lumber
Company. We don't buy the cheapest lumber... only the best!
Great Service
We are careful about making promises to the
folks who favor us with their business. But when we come to agreement with a customer and
we tell them that we will do something, we have given our word and our word is very
important to us. When we say "yes" we mean "yes" not "maybe"
or "yes" unless something better comes
along.
While nobody can ever guarantee against
factors beyond their control, the people at McGee Lumber Company work very hard to fulfill
our promises to our customers, suppliers, employees, to various governmental agencies that
supervise us, and to the community at large.
